Weekly Highs, Lows, and Daily Joys
Highs: catching up with family and friends, connecting with new friends over dinner roulette, discovering the *best* Indian food ever (yes, in Vietnam - Namaste Hanoi)
Lows: feeling sick (I’m better now, thankfully), still getting used to the cadence of buying water, slept poorly this week
Daily Joy: friends on Be Real, waking up to birdsong, fresh squeezed tangerine juice 🍊
The Details
Unfortunately, I did not do many interesting things during our second week in Vietnam. A day after a lovely dinner roulette at Hanoi Food Culture, I felt a little under the weather, and by mid-week had a fever and a positive Covid test result. Most of the people in our program are ambivalent about Covid itself, but Remote Year has a clear policy that was discussed on our first day. Pursuant to said policy, I put myself up in a hotel down the street and isolated from the group for five days, or until I got a negative test, whichever came first. Fortunately, the negative test came first, so I was back with the group in no time.
